Expanding beyond the
typical church pageant, this ministry seeks to enhance the worship
experience at AFC with presentations and skits, both live and recorded.
Our goal is to
gather a core team of actors, whose talents can be used to capture, in
visual form, the essence of a sermon, ministry moment, Bible study or
class meeting. This group would be available for the various ministries
within the church, in addition to regular worship services.
Skits can be
produced live or recorded. They are usually under 5 minutes in length
and require memorization and at least one rehearsal prior to
presentation.
Larger dramatic musicals are presented for the Ankeny community at
Christmas and Easter and require a large cast and a lengthier rehearsal
schedule.
Auditions depend
upon the project and actors are chosen for specific roles based upon the
director's discretion of who would best fill a role. Everyone is
welcome to participate.
